Bio of Amet Nazifi
An accomplished professional in the banking industry, Amet Nazifi has completed business finance courses at various colleges and training with the Illinois Association of REALTORS. Mr. Nazifi currently functions as a Senior Compliance Officer for a banking and financial services firm, where he has worked for nearly 20 years. Amet Nazifi possesses extensive experience in managing real estate and consumer loan portfolios, especially in resolving matters of delinquency and bankruptcy and in recouping losses related to each. Mr. Nazifi joined the company as a Senior Foreclosure Adjustor in 1989 and later worked as a Foreclosure Operations Manager. In both positions, he managed and trained a team of direct reports while overseeing multimillion-dollar loan portfolios.
In 2005, Amet Nazifi advanced to the position of State Team Compliance Officer and began focusing on risk mitigation and compliance process control for the company’s U.S. branch networks. Working within the State Regulatory Administration Division, Mr. Nazifi continues to ensure that the firm adheres to federal, state, and municipal regulations.
Dedicated to serving those in need, Amet Nazifi volunteers for and donates to various nonprofits. He has donated his time to cleaning up and repairing properties and buildings for the Chicago Botanic Garden, YMCA Camp Algonquin, and Chicago Public Schools. In addition, Mr. Nazifi has donated funds to United Way for 20 years, and he recently contributed to the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk, the Beth Ann Christensen Charity, the Bowers Elementary PTA Walkathon, and the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc.
